Something as important as good Nutrition a balanced diet and weight loss if you want it won’t happen by accident, this much I hope is obvious.
You simply have to know what your meals are going to be if you want to be healthy. We live now in an age where food is available to us 24 hours of the day.
Now some may say this is a good thing,it’s progress. Some could well argue that being able to phone for your meals or grab a ready-made meal that just needs to be microwaved or even grabbing for a sandwich, is a positive thing.
The obvious problem with this is, the rise of the snack and the takeaway culture has gone hand in hand with the rise of obesity and record numbers of type two diabetes.
Now in an ideal world, you would plan your whole week’s meals. We do here at home. We know what every lunch and dinner is going to be from Monday to Sunday. Not only does this mean we eat really well and really healthily, it also means we save a lot of money on our shopping.
I mean this,we save a lot of money and everybody that I’ve coached into better shape also saves a lot of money on their shopping. Imagine a world of no food waste which by the way has a really positive impact on the environment. Imagine a world with less snacks and less takeaways. Now imagine the enormous savings not to mention the savings when you take your own lunch to work.
That’s an ideal world and that’s a big step for many people that may not be that confident in the kitchen. Not being taught cookery skills I consider to be one of the biggest reasons for obesity. So many of us grab stuff constantly because we just don’t know how to make quick, cheap , easy healthy meals.
At Gregg Wallace health more than anything we teach this. Planning and easy cookery.
If you can’t plan a whole week, why don’t you plan your day ahead? Tonight, why don’t you make a plan of the meals you are going to have tomorrow?
Think about this now. What is your breakfast going to be tomorrow morning? Where are you going to be buying your lunch? What is your dinner going to be when you get home?
This is a nice game. It is the food you are going to have tomorrow, why not make it nice food? Why not make it healthy food?
I’m willing to bet that if you thought about your food for tomorrow you would make healthier choices. You, I believe would enjoy your food more.
What you eat is of vital importance to your health. I’m sure you understand this. If you want to look after yourself, if you want to be healthy or perhaps if you want to lose weight, obviously what you eat is crucial.
Tell you what do it right now. Consider tomorrow. Where and what are your three meals going to be? It’s a fun game and I promise you you will enjoy it.
