Gregg's Blog - Spring is Your Reset Button

Spring has a wonderful way of reminding us that change is natural — and possible.

The mornings are lighter. The air feels fresher. The world starts moving again. And if nature can renew itself after a long winter, so can we.

Winter often encourages comfort. Heavier meals, darker evenings, less movement. That’s human. But spring whispers something different: start again. You don’t need extreme diets or punishing workouts. You need momentum.

Start with light.

Get outside in the morning and let natural daylight hit your eyes. It resets your body clock, improves sleep, and lifts mood. A 20-minute brisk walk can genuinely change how your day unfolds.

Then think colour.

Spring produce is vibrant — asparagus, spinach, watercress, radishes, berries. Fill half your plate with plants. Aim for fibre. Aim for freshness. When your food feels alive, you feel more alive.

Now think strength.

As we get older, muscle is everything. It protects joints, boosts metabolism, and keeps us independent. Two or three simple resistance sessions per week — squats, presses, rows — are enough to begin. You don’t need perfect. You need consistent.

Most importantly, think mindset.

Spring isn’t about chasing a “summer body.” It’s about energy. It’s about waking up feeling capable. It’s about looking in the mirror and seeing someone who is trying.

Nature doesn’t rush — but it does move forward.

So open the windows. Walk a little further. Cook something fresh. Lift something moderately heavy. Go to bed slightly earlier.

This season is your invitation.

You’re not starting from scratch.

You’re starting from experience — and that’s far more powerful.
