Our lives are made up of millions of choices, or decisions each day. It’s these decisions that determine the outcomes of our lives, how empowering is that?
The reality is we can be anything that we want to be, but we have to make the choices that take us in the direction that our heart truly desires.
Let us focus right now on our weight and our health. The truth is and this is a fact, I promise you, you can have the body that you want, as long as you make the right choices about the food that you eat.
When I was overweight, it was a bit of a mystery to me. I would stand in front of the mirror, deeply unhappy about how I looked, and I honestly didn’t know what it was that was causing it. I was constantly guessing and trying different things, I tried all sorts of diets, these were big things and none of them worked.
The reality was that I didn’t need to find big things to do. I needed to change the little things, the little decisions that I made every day, the bad decisions that one after the other on a day by day, week by week, month by month basis, layer upon layer, they added up to me being five stone heavier than I really wanted to be.
You don’t have to look any further than these decisions to make a big impact on your life. Decisions you make, even though it seems small can either take you in the direction you wanna be or further down the road to somewhere you would rather not be.
Each little decision seems so innocent doesn’t it? But start to understand the small decisions you make have a big impact on your life.
This is good news. This is empowering. We can all of us change the things about us that we don’t want, the weight that we don’t want. We just have to start making the right decisions,
I never regret the decision to go for a walk. I never regret the decision to make sure the food is in the house to make the right healthy meals for myself. I’ve never woken up regretting that I didn’t have a drink the night before.
Do you regret eating the crisps, the chocolate bar, the biscuits the takeaway? Do you regret drinking that much rosé wine? Fine! Let’s do something about it, let’s start making better choices.
It is and always was as simple as that!
