I have been recording a podcast that is due to launch in January. It's called "Gregg Wallace: A Piece of Cake" and features interviews with many influential people in the wellness and health space.

One of the people I will be interviewing is Roxie Nafousi. Because of this, she sent me a copy of her book. I loved it. I found it incredibly useful and I’ve been talking about it all week on my 7 am lives.

There are many parts of this book that fascinated me, but one right now I’d like to share with you.

Losing weight, of course, is about changing your life and Roxie has a brilliant step-by-step guide to achieve this.

Step one: Have a clear vision of what it is that you want to achieve. Losing weight is too vague. Please be more precise. What is it that you want to look like? What do you want to feel like? Is it a vision of you in a swimsuit on holiday? Is it a vision of you in a new dress at a wedding? Whatever it is, please do describe it. Write it down, record it.

Step two: Realise that you are worthy of this change. Consider yourself to be a hobby that you are working on. Don’t allow feelings of doubt or of not being worthy. You should be the most important thing in your life and you should treat yourself as such.

Step three: Put a plan into action. You are now a member. You know what you should be doing, preparing and eating three healthy meals a day, enjoying your food, and filling yourself up.

There we are, three easy steps to changing your life.
