Let’s consider food for a moment, in fact we probably consider it quite a bit don’t we?
We enjoy food, all of us, don’t we? We’re supposed to enjoy it! Losing weight doesn’t mean that you don’t enjoy your food, in fact quite the opposite is true.
I lost a lot of weight and I’ve kept the weight off by eating the right things you already know this. However, I enjoy my food so much more now than I ever did. I mean this, I’m being completely sincere.
There was a time when I would’ve thought life without a takeaway curry regularly or a Chinese takeaway would’ve been a miserable life. Honestly! If someone would’ve told me that I couldn’t regularly do drive in McDonald’s I would’ve been upset.
I look back at those times and wonder what was it I was thinking. I thought those foods that were making me overweight and unhappy were actually making me happy.

I didn’t give them up. I chose not to have them. There is a big difference. Giving up means willpower, choosing not to have it is a decision you’re making. I do occasionally stop at McDonald’s for an egg McMuffin I have to admit...
The honest truth is I now enjoy my home-made curries far more than I ever did a takeaway. I enjoy my own version of chow mein far more than I did the takeaways.
My home-made dishes taste better, they taste cleaner, they of course a far healthier and don’t cost anywhere near as much.
Sitting down and enjoying food at the table is an absolute pleasure. We love to do it when we go out, we love to do it on holiday. We can get a lot of enjoyment out of doing it in our own homes.
Knowing how to prepare great tasting healthy food is a privilege of life. It’s a skill well worth learning that will enhance your life. It’s a skill set that will stay with you forever. It will mean you lose weight. It will mean you save money it will mean you will be healthier.
Enjoy your food, I do. We all should. Losing weight is not about going without or being hungry. At its best it’s about embracing good food and learning how to prepare it.
